Odd Fellows
The story on screen and behind the scenes...

Under the staunch rule of Odd Fellows Academy, two students navigate friendship, truth & identity in a world where all forms of art and creativity are banned.
"Rae" & "Lucia" have grown up without hearing the sound of music, reading a story book with illustrations, or even knowing what it means to dance or sing or experience art. In this world ruled by the strict morals of Odd Fellows Academy, all forms of art no longer exist to challenge their strict, corporate values of efficiency and necessity... or so they thought.

The Power of Female Filmmaking
Collaborative, Passionate & Safe
Citrus Studios was born from a collaboration in film dating back to girlhood. Paige Jones and Hannah Herzog have been making films since high school, having produced several award winning projects together, including Magpie & Peeled Lemon.
Odd Fellows was greatly inspired by Paige and Hannah's friendship, soon joined by Verve, who Paige met in college after they wrote, directed, produced, and starred in their college's media department's first ever short films: Calypso's Island, Apollo Boy, and Bridge Burners. Together, Paige, Hannah & Verve proved to be an unstoppable trio.
Taking on a feature film with a limited budget meant attracting a team of filmmakers willing to join them in the pursuit of Odd Fellows as an investment and collective mission. After finishing the script and creating a campaign of smaller, social media videos as a proof of concept, it didn't take much to convince collaborators that this film would be a project to rival the big budget productions of Hollywood. Greatest of these collaborations came from the female film community, who brought a creative energy, professionalism, and dedication unlike any other. Female-based, female-inspired, and female-driven, Odd Fellows is now a platform showcasing the incredible talents of women both on and behind the screen.
The vision for the release of Odd Fellows involves submitting to Oscar-qualifying film festivals such as Sundance and Tribeca, an indie theater tour across America with the film's director, producers, and actors, and then to distribution on streaming platforms like Amazon Prime and Netflix.
